Captain Lawrence M. O’Neil September 18, 1931 - July 4, 1990 Lawrence Murdock O’Neil died at age 58. He retired as Captain from the Army Special Forces and was a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam Wars. He was commander of the Mobile Strike Force during the 1969 Tet Offensive and was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action during the Vietnam war. He is survived by his wife Christa, sons, Lawrence, William and Patrick and five daughters, Christa, Kathleen, Sheila, Diane and Shana and many grandchildren. Also survived by ten sisters and his brother Dan.

Larry’s wife, Christa, spent many years raising their eight children alone in many locations, Germany, Okinawa, a few years in the Boston are and at home in Augusta, Georgia, where they settled when Larry came home. She is an outstanding and amazing woman, the epitome of a loyal army wife and mother to their beautiful family.

We all enjoyed having some time in Boston to get to know our big brother and his family
